About Dodleston Parish Council
Our Parish, just to the south of Chester in north-west England, covers Dodleston, Balderton, Gorstella, Lower Kinnerton and Marlston-cum-Lache (Rough Hill to Green Lane and Lache Lane and Wrexham Road).
The Parish Council is the first tier of Local Government and the closest level of government to the community we represent. Made up of ten elected or co-opted members of the Parish community and a clerk, the Parish Council meets at least six times a year and the Councillors, who are all volunteers, discuss any issues which affect the Parish. These issues may include anything from local charities to footpaths, streetlights, speed limits and planning applications. Members of the public are encouraged to attend these meetings and time is set aside for public speaking, allowing them to raise any concerns or questions they may have about community matters.
